U18s:

All SANFL Under 18 teams were given a bye to allow for the SA squad selection. With an internal trial for SA Under 18s squad held on the weekend it was the underage talent that really impressed whilst top end talented players were ‘rested’ for the trial.  On the back of this match the core squad of players was announced with another trial game set for this weekend vs Glenelg Reserves. The squad of 42 can be found here.

The SA girls squad was also finalised this week with a squad of talented Under 18 girls ready for their next step in their careers. The U18 girls squad can be found here.

In a busy week for SA talent selection the Under 16 squad for SA was also announced with some talented youngsters, and the list of players can be found here.

These squads will reduce over the coming weeks as selectors narrow their focus and players ready for their next round of games at the highest level.

College Football:

School football continued again on the weekend, despite some of the top end players missing from teams due to State trials. In the Premier League Division, Prince Alfred College (PAC) accounted for Immanuel College by 33 points. Rostrevor easily defeated St Michaels by 24 goals. Whilst in another tough and close hit out St Peters defeated Sacred Heart College by 17 points.
