Ranges make it two from two, with a convincing 71-point win over Eastern

In a game where turnovers were plenty and missed numerous opportunities on goal, Eastern will be happy to bank the four points.

After Eastern were kept goalless by quarter time, they managed to kick 16 of the next 20 goals with Western struggling to stop the ball from entering the Eastern forward line. Just as Western would move the ball into their attacking half, a turnover would occur allowing for the Ranges to run the ball forward.

Ranges inside midfielder Dylan Clarke used his left foot very well, finishing the day with 32 disposals. Another Collingwood Father Son prospect Callum Brown had a solid game with 21 disposals and six marks playing forward. Despite only collecting 15 disposals, Jackson Ross used his left foot well and was impressive as a high half forward. Jake McCormack kicked four goals for the Ranges in his best game for the club.

Jets round one hero Mickey Nicholls was quiet and could only manage six disposals and a goal. Nicholas Giarrizzo (19 disposals) tried valiantly all day in the midfield, but they were comfortably beaten all day with the Ranges collecting 86 more disposals as a team. Medium defender Brodie Romensky (13 disposals, six marks) used the ball well when the ball was in their defensive half, but ultimately did not get enough support from the rest of the team.
