Corey Hitchcock made the big move up to the metropolitan area from North Albany at the start of the year. Hitchcock left on a high after winning a flag with his home town club in 2017. The performances of the wingman caught the eye of Claremont who put the 19 year-old on their playing list. The youngster moved between half-back and wing and averaged 14 disposals at Colts level. A couple of standout performances came in Round 10 against Perth where he collected 26 disposals and a goal and Round 16 against East Perth where he kicked four goals along with 17 disposals. By his own admission, Hitchcock was surprised to get a call up to the State Combine but it is sign that he is on the right path to realising his AFL dream.
