SUMMARY: South-Bendigo product Kieran Strachan is a raw ruck prospect who works well around the ground and is strong overhead. Plying his trade with Port Melbourne in the VFL after as stint for Essendon's reserves, Strachan has impressed in his short time in the competition. The athletic tall is versatile enough to lend his skills to either the ruck or key forward roles, with a decent leap and good overhead marking making him a tricky opponent. Strachan's game time has been cut short due to injury a couple of times over the last two seasons after he had made promising starts, which somewhat limited his exposure. But Strachan still showed enough to warrant an invitation to the Rookie Me combine, and given his place at a standalone VFL club, he should be one who is afforded good exposure over the next few seasons should he be overlooked this year.
