Leagues: Coates Talent League Boys

STRENGTHS: Tackling, contested ball, endurance, agility
IMPROVEMENTS: Accumulation, consistency

SUMMARY: The second of the Dunkley brothers to come through as a Sydney father-son prospect, Kyle Dunkley is a medium-sized midfielder/forward who has had limited exposure this year. While injury hampered the early part of his year, Dunkley struggled to break back into the Oakleigh line-up come finals time, finishing with just four TAC Cup games and one NEAFL appearance for the year. Despite the small amount of game time, Dunkley was still able to show where his strengths lie when given the chance, with a good showing at the Victorian State Combine also doing his chances no harm. Dunkley has an impressive work rate, with a willingness to lay hard tackles and win his own ball in the clinches. His mix of endurance and athleticism bodes well for that side of his game, as he is able to both effect and zip through multiple contests. A knock on him though may be his overall ability to accumulate and have a consistent effect throughout the game, which is a key area to improve on should he attract more midfield minutes. The Swans are best placed to pick Dunkley up should they value him worth the chance, and he has plenty of room to grow if that is the case.
