STRENGTHS: Transition play, kicking, clean hands, meters gained
IMPROVEMENTS: Contested ball, accumulation

SUMMARY: Sam Graham is a creative half-back who sets up play from behind the ball in a 'quarterback-type' role. The Calder prospect provided the same kind of form shown in his bottom age year, registering nine TAC Cup games for the Cannons, while also featuring for school side PEGS and the AGSV representative squad. While his efficiency stands at a mere 57.6 per cent, Graham is a solid ball user by foot - with over a quarter of his kicks going long to contribute to his average of two inside 50s and 3.4 rebounds per TAC Cup game. He stands out with the more high-impact kicks he makes in transition and while he doesn't always hit them, his clanger stats do not suggest he should start playing it safe. Graham is also the kind of player who can use his run and kicking range to gain ground quickly for his side, solidifying his attacking edge. Given he is a rebounding type though, Graham could improve on his contested game - especially the defensive side - as only half of his averaged possessions came under opposition heat, and his tackle count stood at 2.6 per game. Graham would also look to improve his accumulation if he is to have a more consistent impact throughout games, as his ability to be a 50-60 meter player is invaluable.
