SUMMARY: In sport just like in life, it is all about making the most of the opportunities when they arise. Tobe Watson timed his run beautifully at the end of last season and after performing well in the reserves, made his debut for the Swan Districts League side in Round 22. He managed to play finals in 2017 and excelled under the pressure. Watson carried that League form into this season and was a regular fixture in the backline. The youngster was duly honoured by the club for his performances in 2019, winning the Rookie of the Year and coming second in the best and fairest. The 20-year-old Donnybrook product is a fine reader of the play and is very strong overhead averaging five marks a game and has a deal of flexibility to his game with the ability to move into the midfield at times. Probably best suited in the third tall role at this stage of his development as he is a bit undersized for a key post at this stage at AFL ranks.
